Turn one article into a week of LinkedIn posts

I write on LinkedIn regularly, and the posts that do well are rarely new ideas. They are one good idea shown from a different angle. AI is excellent at finding the angles you are too close to see.

You'll haveFive distinct posts from one piece of content, each with its own angle

You needOne finished article, talk or report, and any AI assistant

Steps

  1. Pick one piece you are proud of: an article, a talk transcript or a report.
  2. Paste the first prompt with the full text to find the angles.
  3. Choose the five angles you like, then run the second prompt.
  4. Rewrite the first line of every post yourself. It is the only line most people read.
  5. Spread the posts across the week rather than posting them all at once.

Find the angles
Here is a piece of content I wrote:
[PASTE THE FULL TEXT]

Find eight different angles for a LinkedIn post, each one able to stand on its own. For example: a surprising number, a mistake, a how-to, a strong opinion, a before-and-after.
Give each angle a one-line summary. Do not write the posts yet.
Write the posts
Write LinkedIn posts for angles [NUMBERS YOU CHOSE].
My audience: [WHO READS YOUR POSTS]

Rules for each post:
- The first line must make sense on its own and make someone want to click "see more"
- Short paragraphs of one or two sentences
- One idea per post, under 180 words
- End with a question or a simple takeaway, not "thoughts?"
- No hashtags in the body, and no emojis at the start of lines

What a good result looks like

An illustrative example. The company and figures are made up.

Most onboarding emails ask a new customer to do five things at once. The ones that work ask for exactly one. In week one, a new customer is quietly deciding whether your product is going to be hard work. Five asks in one email answers that question for them. If your onboarding sequence has more than one ask per email, that is the first thing I would change. What is the one action you most need a new customer to take in week one?

Make it better

  • Paste two of your best past posts and ask it to match their style.
  • Ask for three alternative first lines per post and pick the strongest.
  • Keep one post as a plain link to the original. The others earn the click.
